It has been a pivotal first year for Summer Housing. Our first annual report explores the significant inroads made towards achieving our goal of commissioning at least 300 additional SDA dwellings for younger people living in or at risk of entry to residential aged care, and the exciting journey that lies ahead.
Designing for Inclusion and Independence – An Explanatory Guide to support the Briefing and Design of Accessible Housing is Summer Housing’s first publication.
Based on learnings from the innovative housing and support projects in Abbotsford, Victoria, and the Hunter region of NSW, this report demonstrates new and more inclusive housing options for people with disability.
This report considers the need for an appropriate design framework to assist the housing sector in delivering suitable housing for people with disability.
