Summer Housing is excited to announce that applications for tenancy are now open in two brand new apartment developments in New South Wales and Queensland.
View Apartments, in the Sydney suburb of Rockdale, and The Mews Apartments, in Brisbane’s Woolloongabba, each include 10 one-bedroom quality, accessible apartments for people with high physical support needs.
The Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartments will exceed Livable Housing Australia’s Platinum design level and meet High Physical Support design requirements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The apartments include assistive and communication technology. An on-site Supported Independent Living provider will deliver concierge support services to tenants in both developments.
The Mews Apartments, Woolloongabba, Qld
The Mews Apartments, in the dynamic Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba, are due for completion in April 2019.
Situated within a 140-unit private residential development, the apartments are just 2.9km from the Brisbane CBD and close to transport links, Woolloongabba Rotary Park and established cafes and restaurants. Retail offerings also feature on the ground floor of the development.

View Apartments, Rockdale, NSW
The View Apartments are peppered throughout a larger 91-unit private residential development in Rockdale, 13km from the heart of Sydney, and are also due for completion in April 2019. Perfectly positioned, the development is within 500m of Rockdale shops and 450m from Banksia Station.
The development is spread across 11 levels, with 3 ground floor retail tenancies and a garden terrace on Level 4.

How to apply
To apply a person must be an NDIS participant who has High Physical Support Apartment (single occupancy) SDA funding in their NDIS plan or could reasonably be considered likely to have this level of SDA funding included in their plan.
Summer Housing has engaged the Summer Foundation to assist with tenancy matching for these apartments. Free information sessions, which will cover the design features of the apartments, eligibility requirements and how to apply, will be held.
