Project Delivery Officer

About the role

Provide support to the Chief Operating Officer by assessing the feasibility of potential projects, and managing the completion of defect works within completed projects post settlement.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Contribution to the formulation and implementation of Summer Housing strategy and strategic initiatives
  • Provide input into the application of Summer Housing’s model of housing in pipeline projects;
  • Provide design advice both internally and externally on design requirements / design brief for projects;
  • Provide high quality analysis, contribute to the development of options and coordination of design solutions to address site and project specific issues

Essential Skills and Experience include:

  • A degree in Architecture, Construction Management or other relevant qualification or experience
  • Experience in defect management or similar
  • Understanding of the design elements required in properties in order to provide functional, safe and aesthetic living environments for people with significant disability
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to develop and maintain effective working relationships with builders, consultants and other key parties involved in the complex partnerships arrangements associated with our housing projects.

This is a part-time, 12 month fixed term position based in Sydney or Melbourne. A full position description is available here.

Tenancy Support Officers – Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane

About the roles

The primary purpose of these roles is to support tenancy transitions and manage key stakeholders including the tenancy/property managers and disability support providers.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Ability to respond and engage with people with disability in a housing / accommodation setting,
  • Assist tenants to achieve their independent living goals,
  • Engage, inform and collaborate with key project stakeholders on assigned housing portfolio to achieve sustainable tenancies,
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and tenants to resolve tenancy issues

Essential Skills and Experience include:

  • Demonstrated awareness of the key issues faced by people with disabilities relating to housing with case management or support coordination experience desirable
  • Understanding of NDIS, with particular reference to Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) preferred,
  • Skilled in managing customer expectations and applying discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and environments,
  • Experience in delivering quality client services,
